Soil Requirements
Sesame thrives in well-drained, fertile loamy soils. It is highly sensitive to waterlogging, so ensure your field has excellent drainage.
Sowing Time
For Kharif season in Punjab and Sindh, the ideal window is between June 15th and July 15th. Avoid late sowing to prevent pest attacks.
Irrigation
Sesame is a drought-tolerant crop. Generally, 3-4 irrigations are sufficient. The most critical stages are flowering and pod formation.
Pest Management
