Lambda Cyhalothrin 2.5EC by Greenlet International is a highly effective, broad-spectrum pyrethroid insecticide designed for comprehensive pest management in various agricultural crops in Pakistan. This 250ml Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC) formulation contains 2.5% Lambda Cyhalothrin, a potent active ingredient known for its rapid knockdown and long residual activity. It operates through both contact and stomach action, interfering with the normal production and conduction of nerve signals in the insect’s nervous system. Specifically, it acts on nerve membranes by delaying the closing of the activation gate for the sodium ion channel, leading to paralysis and eventual death of the pest. This dual mode of action ensures effective control of a wide range of chewing and sucking insects, including those hidden within dense foliage.

Recommended Application & Dosages
Lambda Cyhalothrin 2.5EC is applied as a foliar spray. For optimal results, apply at the first sign of pest activity or when the insect population reaches the economic threshold level (ETL). Early morning or late evening applications are ideal to avoid peak sun, minimize chemical evaporation, and protect beneficial insects. Avoid spraying during strong wind conditions to prevent chemical drift. Use a good quality sprayer with hollow cone nozzles to ensure thorough and uniform coverage of the crop, especially targeting the undersides of leaves where pests often hide.
- General Dosage: Mix 250-330 ml of product per acre.
- Water Mixing Ratio: Typically, 2-3 ml of the product should be mixed per liter of water. For general applications, mix 250-300 ml of the product with 100-120 liters of water per acre. For specific crops, refer to the following guidelines:
- Cotton: For Jassid, Thrips, Whitefly, and Bollworm, use 200-330 ml per acre.
- Rice: For Stem Borers and Leaf Folder, use 200-250 ml per acre.
- Gram: For Pod Borer, use 200-250 ml per acre.
- Okra/Brinjal (Vegetables): For Fruit Borers, use 200-250 ml per acre.
- Mango: For Hoppers, use 40 ml per 100 liters of water.
Always shake the bottle well before use. Use clean, non-alkaline water for mixing. Ensure thorough coverage of all plant parts. Reapply after 10-14 days if needed, following manufacturer guidelines for reapplication intervals. Maintain a Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI) of 7 days for vegetables and 21 days for cotton.
Safety Precautions
Always wear protective gloves, a mask, and appropriate protective clothing during mixing and application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Store the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, children, pets, food, and animal feed. Wash spray equipment thoroughly with clean water and soap immediately after use. In case of ingestion or inhalation, seek medical attention immediately.
