Selective Grass Action
Both Metamifop and Cyhalofop-butyl are ACCase inhibitors (HRAC Group 1). They disrupt fatty acid synthesis in grasses, stopping cellular membrane synthesis and weed growth. Because they are highly selective, they do not cause injury to rice crops, while killing target grasses. Visible results include yellowing and necrosis of grass shoot nodes within 7 days.
Efficacy and Application Protocol
Drain water from the rice field to expose grass weeds to the spray. Dissolve 300ml per 4 canals (600ml per acre) in 100-120 liters of water. Re-irrigate the field 24 to 48 hours after application to seal the control layer and prevent weed regrowth.
