Boron 20%: Essential Micronutrient for Flower & Fruit Development
Boron 20% Soluble Powder (distributed in Pakistan by Swat Agro Chemicals) is a highly concentrated, water-soluble boron supplement. Formulated as Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate, it is designed for rapid foliar absorption to correct boron deficiencies, prevent flower and fruit drop, and improve sugar translocation in commercial crops.
Agronomic Importance of Boron
Boron is a critical micronutrient required for plant cell wall structural integrity, pollen tube elongation, and carbohydrate metabolism. In Pakistan's soils, boron deficiency is a major cause of hollow hearts in potatoes, poor seed set in cotton, flower drop in vegetables (chili, tomato), and internal corking in citrus fruits.
EDTA Chelated vs Soluble Borate
Unlike metal ions, boron is applied as a soluble borate. The 20% formulation dissolves instantly in water, bypassing root uptake blocks in high pH soils when applied as a foliar spray, ensuring immediate translocation to active growing tips and flowers.
Application Guide
Foliar apply Boron 20% at 100g-200g per acre during the pre-flowering stage in vegetables and cotton, and during tuber initiation in potatoes to maximize crop yields.
