Lambda Cyhalothrin is a fast‑acting pyrethroid insecticide that disrupts the sodium channels of insect nerve membranes, causing hyperexcitation and rapid paralysis. Its mode of action makes it highly effective against a broad spectrum of sucking and chewing pests such as aphids, whiteflies, and caterpillars. In Pakistan, where high‑pH calcareous soils and saline conditions prevail, this insecticide remains stable and retains efficacy when applied as a 250 ml EC formulation.
Target Pests and Regional Compatibility
In Punjab’s alluvial loams, whiteflies and aphids are the main culprits of yield loss in cotton and wheat. In Sindh’s deltaic clays, rice blast vectors (pest insects) thrive during the monsoon. Lambda Cyhalothrin’s rapid knock‑down effect provides timely control, especially when applied at the early larval stage to prevent population build‑up. Lambda Cyhalothrin is moderately persistent in soil; hence, avoid applying near water bodies or during heavy rainfall to prevent runoff. Store in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and livestock. Dispose of empty containers according to local hazardous waste guidelines.
