Chlorantraniliprole (marketed under the trade name March by Saver Enterprise) is a next-generation anthranilic diamide insecticide. Ryanodine Receptor Modulator Action
Classified under IRAC Group 28, Chlorantraniliprole works by binding to ryanodine receptors in insect muscle cells, causing uncontrolled release of calcium ions. This leads to immediate muscle contraction, feeding cessation, paralysis, and death. Because of this unique mode of action, it controls pests that have developed resistance to traditional carbamates and organophosphates.
Translaminar and Systemic Control
Chlorantraniliprole is highly systemic when applied to soil or foliage, moving through plant tissues to protect new growth. It exhibits excellent rain-fastness and provides long-lasting residual protection (up to 14-21 days), reducing the number of sprays required per season.
